SOME SAD NEWS
It has been a difficult year as we have had to say "Good-Bye" to two of our loyal pets and friends, Angel and Shadow. We lost Angel in April after a short illness. She had been with us for ten years after we rescued her from the SPCA and was a loyal and true friend, especially to Alice. Shadow succumbed to Lymes' Disease later in the summer. He was quite a lot of fun during his time with us and both dogs were always popular with our customers, especially at Christmas. They will both be missed

The winter of 2009-2010 saw some big changes, as we had our barn completely refurbished on the outside with a new roof, new siding and new doors and windows. While the original stone portion of the barn, built in the early 1800's, was in good shape, the roof was beginning to fail and many sections of the siding were in bad shape. For years, many of the doors and windows were missing or in need of repair. Whitehorse Construction, out of Parkesburg, did the work and did an excellent job installing a new metal roof as well as the cedar siding and custom made doors. The finished exterior is a huge improvement and will help to protect and keep the barn functional for many years to come.
